5 out of 5 stars My first choice from now on.   February 25, 2010

I ordered a couple of the slightly cheaper, smaller LED lights along with this one, and one of the small ones would not so much as offer me a glimmer of light. I also ordered a more expensive model with twice the number of lights as this one. It worked fine and put out a slightly brighter beam, though for my purposes the smallest LED model is usually all the illumination required or desired.

What makes this the champion in my little LED flashlight shoot-out:

1. It's almost as inexpensive as the smaller, cheaper models on Amazon.
2. It's long thin handle is especially "grip-able" and user-friendly--also, its shape makes it practical for keeping in a pocket without the tell-tale sign of a big bulge.
3. Most importantly, it requires 2, not 3, batteries, and it doesn't have an internal, removable compartment that must be pulled out of the handle and filled with the batteries, then reinserted. Instead, like any ordinary, or "old-fashioned" flashlight, you simply slip the two batteries directly into the handle.

Bravo, Keystone! From now on you get my vote--and my recommendation to any wayward pilgrims who, during their journey through often dark and turbulent times, could use a dependable ray of light now and then.

5 out of 5 stars Great pocket/car light   February 15, 2010

This flashlight pumps out a lot of light for its compact size and lightweight. I think with the new small LEDs there's no reason to go big and bulky anymore with flashlights. I am going to keep this in my glovebox for nighttime emergencies and lost items down the sides of the seats. I think this would go into my purse without any trouble, and would probably be great for dogwalkers as well--the strap is a good size to keep around your wrist and it would slip into a pocket easily. A great light!

All I can is WOW! This little flashlight is powerful and so blinding that you cannot look directly into the light. It reminds me of the blue-bright headlamps on an automobile.

It is small enough to allow you to toss one into your purse.

It is great for lighting up a dark driveway until you reach your door. Great to have if the lights go out during an electrical or winter storm.

I don't know how long the batteries last, as I have not had the flashlight long enough; but I am betting the batteries will last a long time.

The only drawback I have found is the "On-Off" switch is a firm rubber button recessed in the bottom of the flashlight and you have to push it firmly to turn it on or off; and perhaps (if I want to be really picky)they could have placed a loop in the bottom of the flashlight so you can hang it from a hook.

But if you want "bright" this is the light to buy! It is compact and powerful!

The product is remarkable. We love it. I did have one of the 3 I purchased that had one bad led. It's still plenty bright.

I received this flashlight, turned it on, and after 2 seconds it stopped working. I sent it back for a refund.
